I'm Back!!!

It's been awhile since I have been on here!! Things have been crazy around the Lambert household.. yes the LAMBERT household! :) 

So the last time I was on here, it was before our wedding happened!! Our wedding was BEAUTIFUL and I am so thankful for all of those who helped with the wedding and came to celebrate with us! I will forever remember that day as one of my favorites!! We went on our honeymoon to Costa Rica for a week and it was even more beautiful! Lounging at the pool, drinking, eating like kings, going to shows every night, meeting other great couples, going on adventures... shall I continue?? Let's just say it was amazing and we didn't want to come home!! 

When we got back, I started my new job as a middle school math teacher! Talk about a different world that I am still adjusting to!! I love all of the people that I work with though--they are awesome!!

AND... we are FINALLY closing on our house Friday!!! We are over the top excited to finally have this process over with! Let me tell you, buying a HUD home is something else!! So many things that needed to be done with paperwork but we are finally at the end of this long process!

FRIDAY FIVE!

SO... I have been MIA lately because of all of the many things going on!! 

One// We moved back to Texas a couple months ago!! Things have been nuts since moving back!! Blaze's new job is very cool but very busy! 

Two// Our wedding is EIGHT days away!! Next Saturday is our big day and then we are off to COSTA RICA!! Blaze let it slip a couple weeks ago.. lets just say that I was excited to finally find out!! 

Three// My second semester of grad school is over on Monday. In the middle of all of this craziness, I have been trying to work on my final that is due Monday! 

Four// My bachelorette party was last weekend and it was so fun! I wish I could see my girls like that every weekend!! Love them so so much!

Five// Hope yall all have a great weekend!! :)

The Glam Series: Summer Favorites

Here are some of my favorite go-to summer beauty products!!

All of these are under $10!!

Loreal Sunscreen $9.99-awesome spray on sunscreen with 50 spf!! Love this stuff at the pool

Chapstick $1.02- we all get dry lips in the summer due to the sun! It is always a great idea to have some chapstick lying around!!

5 Minute Plus White $13.99- I have grown to LOVE this teeth whitener. It is super cheap and works as great as those expensive ones!! I order mine off of Amazon but you can find this at Walgreens or Walmart as well!!

Waterproof Mascara $5.99- I love Great Lash mascara! This mascara is perfect for the pool because it IS waterproof and goes on easy!

Gillette Fusion $8.99- Not sure about you ladies, but I would WAY rather use a guys razor than the girl ones!! I think they work better!! But Gillette Fusion makes great razors!!

Batiste Dry Shampoo $5.99- Love this when I dont have time (or feel like) washing my hair! Definitely does the trick!! And this comes in different bottles for different hair colors!

Wedding Wednesday

I had my first bridal shower a couple weeks ago!! Here are a few of the big gifts that we were hoping for that we got!! :) 

We have another shower next saturday but instead of just girls, it is a couples shower! I'm super excited for that one!! More gifts to come!!

Weekend Update

The past couple weeks have been super busy! Last weekend, Blaze and I actually moved back to Texas!! He got a new job and is now a Scout for the Cleveland Indians! Yes, the MLB team! :) Super exciting for him and the fact that we can now tell people!! I also had my first bridal shower which was hosted by my awesome MOH and best friends!! She is in Germany right now (I'm super jealous).

I am also now working from home! My company is awesome and is letting me work from home instead of having to leave them! Thank goodness I work in the computer industry! :) We can work from anywhere!

I sent out our wedding invitations on Friday too!! Everyone texted me excited that they got them Saturday!! Talk about fast mail service! SOOO Im hoping that I get a ton of RSVP's back soon (since they are stamped and ready to be put back in the mail) haha

Not sure what all is going on this week but we have our couples shower NEXT weekend (the last weekend in June). That will be fun to see everyone and Blaze will be at this shower! Im excited!

We have less than 2 months..(46 days) until the wedding! 32 days until the bachelorette party in Austin!! Things are getting close and it's about to be crunch time!!

It's finally Friday!!

ONE// SO thankful for this 4 day work week!! It's been a busy one but Im not sure I could do another day! haha

TWO// ONE more week until my first Bridal Shower!! I am SUPER excited to see all of my girl friends and family!!

THREE// There are lots of exciting things happening in my life right now! Can't wait to share more later! :)

FOUR// It's been raining a TON lately and this little girl has been helping me clean all around the house! So funny.

FIVE// I came home to the PRETTIEST flowers after work last night! Little did I know, my lovely Maid of Honor sent these to me! The past few weeks have been kind of rough but from 8 hours away, she tries to help!! LOVE YOU Albosta Pasta!

It's only Tuesday

I've been slacking lately on the blogging!! Things have been crazy with work and school! Luckily after today I will be done with my first semester of grad school!! WOOHOO! Thankfully I get a two week break until my summer class starts up! Im only taking one class this summer though because of everything that is going on.

Some of my friends have told me that they got their bridal shower invites in the mail!! Lauren did such a great job with them because they are super cute! I'll post more about it tomorrow for sure. :)

So one of the most important details about the wedding... HAIR!! I have NO clue what I want to do with my hair yet!! I have to do a test run when I go in town next (Which will be in June for my shower!) My hair hasnt grown that fast so it isnt as long as I was hoping it would be! :( I want to have it down I think!! But then I see certain updos (like the ones below) and then I think those look super cute!! What to do, what to do!?? Any opinions??

Friday Five

Its FINALLY friday... to say that this week has been long would be an understatement. I am so stressed lately with everything that is going on--and add finals next week on top of it!! AHH!!  I am so ready to be back home with Blaze and my crazy animals..

One// I left for DFW last Saturday. I got alot of wedding stuff done... in between working all day, trying to see friends and a few other things. 

Two// I spray painted a TON of mason jars the other night... I think it got up in my nose because it smelt like spray paint forever!! 

Three// I had a facetime session with Blaze. While we were on the phone, I yelled Kimber's name and she kept looking at the phone like this! When I would stop saying her name, she would start whimpering!! She misses her mama!!

Four// My stepmom got ranger tickets from her work while I was in town (luckily)!! I got to take some great friends and had a great time even though they lost!! We were 8 rows behind home plate!!

Five// I FINALLY got to see my other half last night! I havent seen her since January!! We met up for dinner, stopped by the food truck park for a cupcake (and to see Blaze's mom) and then went to Chimy's for one marg!! Reminded us of our college days!! Miss this girl too much!!

Weekend Update

So this weekend feels like it flew by super fast!! 

Friday night, I went to watch Blaze and his team play. It was the longest baseball game ever... I ended up leaving early because the dang mosquitoes were SUPER bad!! They ended up winning though which was great!!

Saturday, I ended up leaving for DFW (instead of leaving Sunday like planned). I had to pack up really quick and leave. It only took me about 7 hours instead of 8 like normal!! I only stopped twice since I didnt have Blaze with me haha (he loves to stop alot on roadtrips)

Sunday (yesterday) I met up with my high school gals!! It was really nice to see them! It has been forever since Ive seen them but its nice because whenever we do get together, it's like nothing has changed!! We went and got lunch and sat out on the patio since the weather was amazing!! 

This week is going to be a crazy busy one!! I am SUPER excited to see all of my lovely ladies while Im here though!! Im so glad they only work today and tomorrow so I can see them the rest of the week! (in between working and doing wedding stuff)

I get to do cake tasting later this week and let me say how excited I am!! WOOHOO!  I am going to see the venue again I think on Wednesday to just walk around and talk decorations!! I also have to do a trial run with hair/makeup one day and also do a fitting with my wedding dress!!

Summer Beauty Favorites

1. Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes-LOVE these wipes. They contain no perfumes and are great for sensitive skin! They take off all of your makeup including waterproof mascara!! They are super cheap and come in a 25-count pack!! 

2.Essie Boom Boom Boom Nail Polish- I can't go without nail polish in the summer! It always has to be a shade of pink! I LOVE Boom Boom Boom's color!! So fun and summer-y! (And everyone loves Essie!!)

3. Not Your Mothers Beach Babe- This stuff is amazing! Just spray, let it dry a little and go!! Gives you that great beach hair look!! It has salt in it so it helps give the beachy, curly look for me!!

4. L'Oreal Paris Sublime Self Tanning Lotion- I absolutely love this stuff!! It gradually tans you (faster than most) and gives you a great glow!! Super affordable and makes your skin feel super soft!!

5.L'Oreal Quick Dry Sunscreen- I just really like L'Oreal's products!! They make a great sunscreen that I would recommend!! Doesn't feel gross after you spray it on at all!

6. Waterproof Mascara- Everyone needs a good waterproof mascara for the summertime! I really like sephora's waterproof mascara. Makes my lashes look great and stays on all day!

7. Makeup Setting Spray- This stuff is awesome for after you apply your makeup. It gets super hot down here in the south, so we tend to sweat off our makeup sometimes! This just helps keep everything settled!

Ive been thinking alot about the rehearsal dinner lately!! Im getting excited to think that we have about 3 months to go. I really need to find outfits for all of these occasions coming up, especially for the rehearsal dinner! We are having ours at a restaurant in Burleson! It will be a casual/dressy attire, so the girls can wear cute dresses and the guys can wear whatever. Blaze is wearing starched jeans and a button down with his new fancy boots! I think it would be fun to wear a pretty white dress of some sort--white dresses are NOT easy to find that are cute though. Here are some of my favorites I have found!

Blaze's mom is hosting the rehearsal dinner but I came across some of these ideas on Pinterest (of course). Super cute/fun!!

1) A cute way to have the menu set out so everyone can see it!!

2) These are spiked lemonades in mason jars!! Can we say YUM??

3) Corn Hole (DIY) with the bride and groom's initials!! So cute!

4) Have everyone at rehearsal dinner sign a bottle of wine or champagne and open it on your first anniversary

5) Have everyone write down a memory of the bride or groom and then you read them on your honeymoon!!
