It's finally Friday!!

ONE// SO thankful for this 4 day work week!! It's been a busy one but Im not sure I could do another day! haha

TWO// ONE more week until my first Bridal Shower!! I am SUPER excited to see all of my girl friends and family!!

THREE// There are lots of exciting things happening in my life right now! Can't wait to share more later! :)

FOUR// It's been raining a TON lately and this little girl has been helping me clean all around the house! So funny.

FIVE// I came home to the PRETTIEST flowers after work last night! Little did I know, my lovely Maid of Honor sent these to me! The past few weeks have been kind of rough but from 8 hours away, she tries to help!! LOVE YOU Albosta Pasta!

It's only Tuesday

I've been slacking lately on the blogging!! Things have been crazy with work and school! Luckily after today I will be done with my first semester of grad school!! WOOHOO! Thankfully I get a two week break until my summer class starts up! Im only taking one class this summer though because of everything that is going on.

Some of my friends have told me that they got their bridal shower invites in the mail!! Lauren did such a great job with them because they are super cute! I'll post more about it tomorrow for sure. :)

Friday Five

Its FINALLY friday... to say that this week has been long would be an understatement. I am so stressed lately with everything that is going on--and add finals next week on top of it!! AHH!!  I am so ready to be back home with Blaze and my crazy animals..

One// I left for DFW last Saturday. I got alot of wedding stuff done... in between working all day, trying to see friends and a few other things. 

Two// I spray painted a TON of mason jars the other night... I think it got up in my nose because it smelt like spray paint forever!! 

Three// I had a facetime session with Blaze. While we were on the phone, I yelled Kimber's name and she kept looking at the phone like this! When I would stop saying her name, she would start whimpering!! She misses her mama!!

Four// My stepmom got ranger tickets from her work while I was in town (luckily)!! I got to take some great friends and had a great time even though they lost!! We were 8 rows behind home plate!!

Five// I FINALLY got to see my other half last night! I havent seen her since January!! We met up for dinner, stopped by the food truck park for a cupcake (and to see Blaze's mom) and then went to Chimy's for one marg!! Reminded us of our college days!! Miss this girl too much!!

I'll be back in Southern Louisiana with my man by Saturday though!! I really dont like to be away from him! :(

New Orleans Adventure

We FINALLY went to New Orleans after church this past Sunday!! Yes, I know, we have lived here since August and we are just now going to see what New Orleans is all about!! It was so pretty outside on Sunday so it was a great day to be outside! We didn’t mean to end up down in the French quarter but after church we were going to go out to eat. I found this place that seemed to have a good brunch menu so we were looking for it but then as we got closer, we were driving around the French quarter! After what felt like forever trying to find a place to park, we ended up walking around and were just looking for a place to eat! We ended up going to Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville. It was definitely good! (Ive been to two now, I went to his margaritaville in Hawaii and now New Orleans!) After we were done eating, we were across the street from the French market (I think it’s called). We walked around and got a drink, since you can walk around while drinking there! The weather was amazing!! It was fun just walking around and seeing what all was going on down there!! We had fun for sure!

LONGEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!

1. I keep thinking about the bachelorette party coming up in July!! I know it's still 3 months away but I'm super super excited!! Here is the cute little house we are staying at for the Bachelorette Party :)

4. Im thinking about buying this for another 'guest book.' Then have Blaze stain it & hang it up on our wall!! :)

5. Working & living in southern Louisiana, I have come to realize that they hate Texans very much (almost as much as I hate living here). I think they are bitter, they have to pay for their kids to go to private school for a half-decent education, while we have AMAZING public schools, everything here is overpriced, while you can get a beautiful home w/land for the price of an okay home here, the people cant talk right or drive and there are NO jobs... want me to keep going?? haha #MISSINGTEXAS 

Weekend Update

Blaze left town Tuesday and didn’t get back until yesterday afternoon! It was boring around our house for the week for sure.

Friday I got off work at 3, ran some errands and then spent the night watching Easy A (for the second time that day) and drank wine while doing homework that was due that night!! 

Saturday I spent the day cleaning, doing laundry and started putting together our wedding invitations! I watched the baseball game on the laptop. Since there is never anything EVER on tv on Saturdays, I saw that they were having the game of thrones marathon getting ready for the season premiere Sunday night so I decided to give it a try. The first couple episodes I wasn't feeling it but I continued to watch. I'm on episode 15 now... some episodes are weird but it is an interesting show for sure. 

Sunday I went to the gym again and just cleaned and waited for Blaze to get home! We just hung out and watched the ACMs last night... so funny. I love Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan… great host’s haha

Back to work… it is rainy and cool outside… makes me want to do absolutely nothing but sleep and watch movies on the couch!!  Is it Friday yet??

Five on Friday

1. Missing this hunk right now. He left Tuesday and won't be back until Sunday. Goodluck this weekend :) 

2. This song has been coming on XMRadio lately, on the Highway. I love it.. and I just found out it is Jamie Lynn Spears who sings it!! (Britney Spears little sister).

3. Less than FOUR months to go!! WOOHOO

5.Have my workout routine down... it is going really great!! Love slowly seeing results! :) Im coming for you summer!

5. This little lady decided to go into heat TWO months early... so she is in the diaper of shame now hahaha

Weekend Update

 Friday night I went and watched the baseball game. They won so Blaze was in a great mood afterwards!! 

Saturday, they ending up playing a double header because it was supposed to rain on Sunday. So they started at 3 and didn’t finish until about 10:30 that night. The second game went into 15 innings!! CRAZY long day of baseball. They won the first but lost the second—so that meant Pepper’s Pizza for dinner!! YUM! It started raining about 10 mins after the game was over—it was awesome timing! 

Sunday we drove out to New Orleans so Blaze could find suits for the wedding!!! AHH! It was fun to see him get somewhat excited! Makes it seem like it is all getting a little closer!! Then we ventured out to Whole Foods (that is the closest one to us) and the New Orleans Whole Foods was super neat looking! It was in such a cute little area of New Orleans. Then came home and just relaxed (finally).

Not too much went on this weekend. Next weekend Blaze will be out of town so that means I will be finishing our taxes, finishing painting the hallway, and maybe some wedding crafts!

1. It is Pi Day!!

2.This weekend is finally conference games for Blaze’s team!! Go Nicholls!

3.Earlier this week, the weather said it was supposed to FINALLY be nice!! Well I looked today and it says rain… again!! UGH!

4. We are on a ‘healthy cleanse’ this week… so that means that I have not had a glass of wine all week!! Anyone that knows me, knows that I love wine.. especially after work (with dinner)!! 2 more days!!!

5.  Blaze made me listen to this the other day.. SO funny and SUPER catchy!!

HAPPY THURSDAY!!

This week has been flying by—THANK GOODNESS!! I am so ready for this weekend, but who isn’t?? The weather down here is finally acting normal! It is supposed to be warm and sunny—makes great baseball-watching weather! J No big plans this weekend but relaxing, homework, & maybe finishing painting!! 

So there are lots of changes coming our way!! Just know that they are all good and we are super excited!!

Well, we finally are getting into the fun stretch of all of this wedding stuff! About 4 & a half months left (EEK) which means bridal showers, bachelorette party, pictures, etc! Woohoo! I just wish I was closer right now to have my girls really help out because I know they wish they could!

I am needing someone who plays the guitar really well for our wedding ceremony, hmmm what should I do?? I don’t really know anyone who can play besides guys that are in the wedding!! Any ideas??

Five on Friday

One// Blaze will be gone Sunday-Monday for baseball!! Their first out of town weekend of the baseball season! Hmm.. what to do this weekend!

Two// The weather here has been crazy… it was 75 degrees Wednesday and it was in the 40’s yesterday at the baseball game. I am SO ready for summer weather, my tan, going to the pool, etc. So many fun things to look forward to this summer too!!

Three// Scandal started last night!! Being excited is an over statement for sure. If you haven't watched that show, START!! Such a good show!

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

One// Thank goodness it is FINALLY Friday! I had Monday off, which I love, but I feel like 4 day work weeks can feel even longer than regular work weeks!!

Two// So Mardi Gras is officially starting down here in southern Louisiana. On the way to work this morning, I passed several party buses and they were drinking… and by the way, it was 8:45AM!!! These people are crazy haha. Mardi Gras is like a national holiday down here. Our office is closed for it, the schools have 3 days off… crazy I know.

Three// This weekend will be full of cleaning and baseball. We haven’t had a lot of time on the weekends in the past few weeks. We were in Houston last weekend and so the house got even messier!! I will definitely be cleaning like crazy tomorrow. The guys have a tournament going on so I will be watching baseball games at night!

Four// My birthday is Monday and I have told Blaze several times to NOT do anything for me. He does so much all the time so I told him I didn’t need or want anything. Well I know he won’t listen (and he will read this)… so I think he said we are doing something Sunday for it.

Five// I finally got my hair done Monday. I haven’t found a salon out here since we moved (we moved here back in August). She was amazing!! Any tips on how to get your hair to grow?? I am taking vitamins to help!!
